St. Andrew's Presbyterian Opportunities 2011

There are many opportunities to enjoy fellowship at St. Andrew's and to serve our Lord as we serve each other. Please consider these carefully, and check off all that you may be interested in. You may want to participate in the activity or be a helper/leader.

The Presbyterian Church in Canada is committed to providing safe environments for all persons, including children, youth, vulnerable adults, and those who minister to and with them. They have established a Leading with Care Policy that we are implementing in our congregation. All leaders and helpers will be provided with the necessary training and support so that children/youth/vulnerable adults will grow in faith and the love of Christ in a climate of safety.   

                        Children and Youth Ministry

• Caring for infants and toddlers in the nursery Sunday mornings

• Helping with Sunday School ages JK to Grade 2

• Helping with Sunday School Grade 3 to Grade 6

• Sunday morning Youth ministries – Grade 7 to Grade 10

• Week day youth ministries

Hospitality

• Greeters for Sunday morning worship service

• Serving refreshments following the Sunday worship service

• Serve, prepare and clean-up for Hospitality events held at St. Andrew's

• Special events planner

Creative Arts

• Musicians – Praise team

• Festival Choir members – adult choir for special services

• Hand bell Choir – practice for special services ie. Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter

• Leading children's choir

• Drama team

• Technical support – Audio, PowerPoint

Service Support

• Lawn care and snow removal

• Maintenance team – Enjoy fun and fellowship while working around the building, doing a number of different jobs.

Adult Ministries

• Tuesday morning Bible study at the church

• Life groups - home Bible study – be a participant leader

• Adult teaching series

• Pastoral Care – visiting ministry

• Membership class
